Sightseeing in San Antonio (Updated 2020)

Four years ago, two members of my intern class, Karen and Victoria, and I visited San Antonio for a day of sightseeing and I wrote about it. If you read my blog post about road trips, you know that I am pretty familiar with visiting San Antonio. This past week, I went down with my boyfriend for a pit stop to Laredo to renew his SENTRI status–the purpose of the road trip–and while we spent two nights in San Antonio, we didn’t really find anything new to point out about the city. When I visited with Karen and Victoria, we did all the touristy things that really define the city, thus, I figured I would edit this existing post with some 2020 updates for anyone who has never visited. 🙂

Places I Hope to See in 2021

It’s pretty safe to say I have no intention of hopping on an airplane in the year 2020, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t spent my fair share of time making a list (and checking it twice) for hopeful trips in 2021. Obviously, this is all contingent upon the status of the virus next year, but I already have some places mapped out:

Arizona
One of my oldest friends, Blake, is getting married!! His wedding will be in Arizona which I have never visited before. I cannot wait to explore the natural beauty of the desert and finally do a canyon hike. It’s going to be even better to have local guides as my boyfriend’s friends (recently featured in my vlog!) live there. There’s no telling how long I would be there, but I’m hoping to at least see Papago Park or Desert Botanical Garden.

Four years ago, I was finishing up my internship abroad in London.

Three years ago, I was exploring Boston with my friend, Brad.

Two years ago, I was a couple of days out from my family trip to LA.

Last year, I was preparing for my trip to Cabarete in the Dominican Republic with my friend, Ilse.

In a couple of weeks, I would have been on my way to London again on a two-week trip with the plan of country-hopping in Europe. As if I don’t already spend all of my free time thinking about traveling, these memories have hit me harder than I could have imagined. Continue reading “Travel Withdrawals”

“STAY-CATION,” a Webinar by The Black Travel Summit (Review)

Long time, no…write? If you read my last blog post, you would know I intentionally took a hiatus given the current climate. After making the decision to position this blog as more travel-centered, I was obviously at an impasse for providing interesting and relevant content. Until now, that is. I should say that you shouldn’t expect any trips in the near future and instead, like everything else in the world, the content on this blog may have to pivot for the time being. Still, I am so excited to feel inspired and motivated again after a month and some change of feeling like I’d hit a dead end. In travel-related news, I tuned into a webinar hosted by The Black Travel Summit this past Saturday called “STAY-CATION” and wanted to share my thoughts with you all!!
