To be continued…

I promise.

So, I have been away for a while. I know I have made a couple of posts previously about new ideas I have for my blog and returning soon, and this is still true. However, the main reason I have not posted is because I have run out of media storage. In order to continue posting the pictures I know most of my readers enjoy, I would have to delete older blog posts. I already have gone back and deleted quite a few, the rest are ones that I feel should stay because they are important highlights of my life in the last two years.
I am going to hopefully upgrade to a premium subscription soon, but unfortunately I am still unemployed so I do not have the income to pay for it (no, this is definitely not a segue into asking for money–I’m okay, guys, haha). I miss posting on here so much, but from what I gathered from past stats, more people tuned in when my posts were in exciting places with many pictures. I want to continue providing that same level of entertainment so we will sadly have to wait [but hopefully not for long].
In the meantime, I will continue exploring DFW so I will have content ready to go once the upgrade happens. There may not be any exciting travels for a while, but I hope to pick up where I left off in the spring when I was exploring fun things to do in my hometown. Thank you to everyone who has inquired about my blog while I have disappeared [yet again]–it really means a lot that people actually enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing it. Anyway, I just wanted to give y’all an update. Fingers crossed on this seemingly never-ending job hunt! 🙂

Cloud 9

I’m back in the skies and heading back to my third home.

I am currently sitting in Newark Liberty International Airport waiting to board a flight to London with my brother. While he is just going to visit, I am heading that way to start an internship where I will be a fashion journalist for a shoe company called Miista. I have told many people about this new summer adventure, but I felt I should finally put in writing what I am currently doing since my internship with Southwest ended.

Moving forward, I know that I previously hinted at new things coming for the blog and they are still on the way. With that, I will obviously feature what I’m up to at work and outside of work (unless you guys are tired of hearing about London). I did follow through with a new layout which is much more plain, and arguably less exciting in some ways, but I felt it was much cleaner and more appropriate for the direction I’m going in. Finally, I will return to posting on Sundays. I’m still trying to figure out what time of day works best for posting, but it will be weekly again.

I know I have been MIA, but I appreciate all of the nice comments from those of you who have kept up with my blog and have been inquiring about when I would return. I was off ‘the interwebs’ for a minute [with the exception of graduation posts] because I was trying to get some things in order, but I’m looking forward to picking back up again next Sunday. Until then…

Hitting Home

Hitting Home

About two weeks ago I had my college graduation.

I could say so many things about what graduation meant for me. When you push the stress of graduation day to the side, you start to unravel the sentimental value of it. I am constantly thinking about all of the things I wish I did during college or at least did differently. Obviously, had none of my experiences happened in the way that they did, I wouldn’t know what I know now. Still, I wish I was more adventurous, more social, more invested in my own participation of my college experience rather than having others define it for me. On the same note, I feel more liberated, having been a graduate for almost six months now, because I can recognize these things and grow from them. I’m not here to thank USC for anything, but rather the people I’ve met—friends, co-workers and educators alike—for teaching me so many unforgettable lessons in this thing we call life. So, here are four lessons from four years: Continue reading “Hitting Home”

Starting Anew

Happy New Year, my loves!

We’re two days in and I am so excited about this new year. It warms my heart to hear and read about how many other people are too! I saw a text post online that said,” 2015 definitely had a part one and a part two.” I couldn’t agree more with this statement. The first half of 2015 was the best time of my entire life thus far as I spent a semester abroad in London. I believed my summer and fall semester would follow suit. It’s not that positive things did not happen, but it was definitely more challenging and, frankly, exhausting. Still, the events of last year have made me feel that it was overall a preparation year for what’s to come in 2016. Continue reading “Starting Anew”
