A Time to Celebrate

Welcome back!

While I would have loved to make a post sooner than now, this weekend actually ended up working out to share some awesome stuff with y’all. I suggest reading to the end! Some of you may know this, but my birthday was this past Tuesday. 🙂 I didn’t actually do anything the day of, but I had a little celebration last Saturday in the city with my closest local friends.

It was the quintessential G.N.O. spent dancing all night long and viewing a drag show at Station 4. Though there were a few faces missing, I could not have asked for a better night!IMG_4952IMG_5671IMG_4963IMG_5836IMG_5837 (2)
Another thing that happened this week was my month-aversary of returning back to Southwest Airlines! Now I would have liked to announce this much earlier, but there was a little hitch in my background check process which left me as a contingent employee up until last week. My title is ePass Specialist and I am in the Finance department, despite the fact that I don’t do anything with finances.

A condensed way of explaining what I do is essentially specialized reservations for charities, promotions, and company business travel. My team is awesome which really makes the job for me. Contrary to what I originally believed, I actually do not have weekends off which will limit the travels I planned ahead; since I work 10-hour days, however, I have three days off in the middle of the week. I will definitely make my way around the country, but it looks like my one-on-one time with friends and family may be a little like speed-dating, haha. I am fortunate to be able to travel, nonetheless!

I am looking forward to being able to bring something I love back into my life and having new travels to share with you. I cannot wait for what’s ahead this year. I also want to thank everyone who wished me a happy birthday, and a special thank you to my friends who made my birthday celebration a night to remember. Most of 22 was a big rollercoaster, but it definitely ended on a positive note. They say nobody likes you when you’re 23, but I like to think a couple of people do. ❤

xx, AE
